All applications will be reviewed by the MCHCCN Review Committee (date and time TBD) prior to the Steering Committee Meeting on December 14, 2006 at 9:30am at United Way of the Lakeshore and submitted to the Community Coordinating Council at the General Meeting held on December 19, 2006.  All approved applications must submit their own application to MSHDA through the HALO system by January 12, 2007.  MSHDA will make the application available on the HALO system mid-December 2006.

Notice of Funding 2007-2008

The grant term for Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) and Rural Homeless Initiatives (RHI) Grants has been changed from June 1st to April 1st.  As a result, there is a two month overlap in funding, April 2007 and May 2007.  Consequently, CoC allocations for 2007-2008 will be equal to ten months of funding or 83.33% of the 2006 allocation.  The exact amount allocated to a CoC Body will be forthcoming.

The due date for the 2007-2008 Continuum of Care Planning Update - Exhibit One is January 5, 2007 (postmark date).  ESG and RHI Program Applications must be submitted via HALO by January 5, 2007. THIS DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 1/12/07. The 2007-2008 ESG and RHI application will be available on HALO by December 1, 2006. This date has been changed to mid- December 2006.

Please follow the instructions carefully noting that the due date for Exhibit 1 and the ESG application is January 12, 2007.  If you have questions, please contact your region's Homeless Assistance Specialist shown on the attached map.
